We then head to lantern lit An Hoi Islet and jump in a local boat for a slow ride alongside the ancient town to Cam Nam Island where we join the locals for a seafood starter overlooking the Thu Bon River as the sun sets on Hoi An and enjoy a few cold beers.
A leisurely drive along the banks of the river and through the alleyways and streets takes us to a lively local restaurant where we cook a hot pot at the table and learn the art of wrap ‘n’ roll – Vietnamese style!
It’s then a short ride over the Cam Kim Bridge into Hoi An as the sun begins to set on this beautiful heritage town.

It’s back on the Vespas and after riding around a lagoon adorned with stilted houses & oyster farms, we’ll have a well-deserved Vietnamese lunch in a delightful local setting.
Our fascinating ride continues as we head north on to the quieter coastal road, passing through the magnificent rural countryside.Once a busy trading port on the Silk Road, the UNESCO recognised ancient town of Hoi An is now very popular with visitors keen to see the beautifully kept trading houses and temples from another era, and delve into the vibrant food culture.The surrounding area boasts beautiful beaches, rivers, waterways, mountains, and a stunning rural countryside of lush rice paddies, fertile farmland and colourful villages, with a history dating back over a thousand years to the Cham Kingdom’s holy land at My Son.Heading up the famous Hai Van Pass by motorbike, we’ll take in the amazing views over the bays before stopping at the top to see the old war battlements and bunkers & learn about the fascinating history and strategic importance of the pass.Then it’s down the Hai Van Pass for fun hairpin bends and windy hill roads, before taking a brief stop to take in the amazing view of Lang Co Beach & Lagoon from near the level crossing.The day and Hai Van Pass tour will conclude in Hue with drop off at the hotel.
