James Mc Avoy appears to have hinted at marital problems in an interview he had prior to announcing his split from his wife, Anne-Marie Duff.
The actors released a statement at the weekend to announce that they were parting after nearly 10 years of marriage – but Mc Avoy previously hinted that all was not well.
Mc Avoy's acting debut came at the age of 15 in The Near Room (1995).
Besides screen acting, Mc Avoy has performed in several West End productions and received three nominations for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor.
He has also done voice work for animated films including Gnomeo & Juliet and Arthur Christmas (both 2011).
